The International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (abbreviated as IIIT Hyderabad) is an information technology research deemed to be university based in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. The Institute was established in 1998 as an ICT Research University under the not-for-profit Public Private Partnership (N-PPP) model. The university is National Assessment & Accreditation Council (NAAC) Grade A accredited. IIIT Hyderabad is the first autonomous public-private institute of its kind to be established in 1998.
Currently, IIIT Hyderabad offers the undergraduate programme in Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) or B.Tech (Honors) in Computer Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, postgraduate programme in Master of Technology (M.Tech), Master of Science and Master of Philosophy (M.Phil). (MS) and Dual degree programmes award in B.Tech/MS.
IIIT Hyderabad has 66 acres campus area and located on the main Gachibowli road (also called the Old Bombay highway) which is well connected by bus and is on the route for the proposed metro rail.
