The examination date for Annual Refresher Programme in Teaching (ARPIT) has been announced by the Ministry of Human Resources and Development (MHRD). The exam will be conducted on 30^th March 2019 and NTA will be the exam conducting body of the ARPIT. The Applications will be start from today and candidates can apply for the programme from the NTA’s official website.

All About ARPIT Programme:

ARPIT is stands for Annual Refresher Programme in Teaching. Its courses were rolled out by Government of India in November 2018 for online professional development of 15 lakh higher education faculty using the the Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) platform SWAYAM.

SWAYAM is a web portal that is available for all subjects from Class 9 till post-graduation for students who are yet to be touched by the digital revolution of today and have not yet been able to join the mainstream of the knowledge economy. SWAYAM is inherently developed by HRD Ministry with the active support of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

NTA is the exam conducting body for all the SWAYAM programmes and will conduct its first-ever examination for those enrolled in an ARPIT course. The important dates for the ARPIT 2019 are given below:

For the implementation of ARPIT there are75 discipline-specific institutions were identified and notified as National Resource Centres (NRCs) in the first phase. The NRCs were tasked to prepare online training material with focus on latest developments in the discipline, new and emerging trends, pedagogical improvements and methodologies for transacting revised curriculum.

The examination is the terminal assessment and all in-service teachers who are successful in this assessment will be certified.
